Lic. Ac., Dipl. Ac. & CM (NCCAOM),
Mitzi North Labant has been actively practicing acupuncture for over 38 years. She is nationally board certified and licensed in Acupuncture. Mitzi became interested in acupuncture after taking a Shiatsu class. In that class they talked about how the emotions and the weather affect one's health. It made so much sense that she decided to study acupuncture to learn more about how to keep the body in balance during changes in weather and emotions.
Mitzi was the founding president of the Illinois Society of Acupuncturists (formerly ISAA) in 1982. She also enjoyed teaching at the Midwest Center for the Study of Oriental Medicine from 1982-1986 and was president of the school from 1985-1986.
For the last 20 years Mitzi has traveled extensively to Taiwan studying Acupuncture, Oriental Herbs, the use of food as medicine, Tai Chi and Chi Gong with a Taiwanese Master.
One of Mitzi's missions is to facilitate her patients' abilities to learn how to read what their bodies are trying to tell them and then know how to respond to those messages.
