At this time we are heeding the advice of experts and asking patients with evidence of respiratory illness to stay home and/or seek treatment in facilities that are equipped to control the spread of infection (such as primary care physician’s offices, urgent care clinics, and hospitals). We decided to remain open not only because Governor Pritzker included Acupuncture as an essential business, but also because so many of our clients find acupuncture to be vital in maintaining their health and well being. Please rest assured that we are continually updating our safety procedures as we get new recommendations from the CDC and the American Society of Acupuncturists. </span> </p> </div> <div data-rss-type="text"> <p> <span> Below is a list of some of the changes that we have implemented in our office to keep all of us safe. </span> </p> </div> <div data-rss-type="text"> <ul> <li> <span> HEPA/UV air purifier which is anti-microbial. (This was kindly donated by one of our patients.) </span> </li> <li> <span> Cleaning all contact areas after each patient. </span> </li> <li> <span> All sheets, cloth and paper are changed after each patient. </span> </li> <li> <span> Hand sanitizer is available at the front desk. </span> </li> <li> <span> Patients are required to wear a mask into the office. We will also be wearing masks. </span> </li> <li> <span> To help maintain physical distancing we ask patients to call when they arrive to to make sure the office is ready. </span> </li> <li> <span> We ask patients not to bring anyone who needs to wait in the waiting room. </span> </li> <li> <span> All patients will be asked to let us take their temperature. Anyone who has a temperature 100 or above will be asked to reschedule.
